WIDESPREAD CONCERTS - Water talks
"Darte" is the ancient name for Arta Terme, and it is the name of the festival that will once again this year bring music and traditions to the valleys of Carnia. There are many events, as many as 21, and they will be held in various locations over the two weekends from 7 to 9 and from 14 to 16 July.
DARTE festival returns with the 2023 edition to celebrate the universality of music, a language that, like water, flows carrying with it stories and cultures. Melodies resonate along Bût and Cjarsò, torrents that carry the sounds of different languages and the beauty of places that have remained faithful to time and tradition.
Participating in DARTE Festival does not only mean being a passive spectator of music and harmonies: the widespread concerts will coexist with excursions, guided tours, performances, yoga sessions in continuous contact with the local population and the invited artists.
The experiences will be 'site-specific', designed and constructed specifically for the venue hosting them, while the invited artists are among the most varied: soloists, ensembles, vocal groups and choirs from Carnia, Friuli, all over Italy, and also from Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. To thrill those present will be established musicians as well as young talents in residence.
The music will blend perfectly into the peculiarities of the chosen locations: it will resound in Cercivento at Cjase da Int, in Lovea in the Church of Sant'Andrea, in the Palazzo Savoia in Arta Terme, in the Pieve di San Pietro in Zuglio, in the Mozartina and Palazzo Calice in Paularo, in the Church of the Santissimo Spirito in Chiusini in the church of San Niccolò in Alzeri, in the Archpriest's Church in Piano d'Arta, in Casa Morocutti in Trelli, in the Museo Carnico in Tolmezzo, in the Simonetti social centre in Cabia, in the Art Park in Verzegnis.
All DARTE Festival events are free, but reservations are required for visits and excursions.
